Services Offered

Destination Farm sits on over 40 acres in the heart of Area II Eventing. We are right down the road from Woodstock Equestrian Park (800+ acres including 16 miles of equestrian and hiking trails) and The Maryland Horse Trials; about 20 minutes from Morven Park and Seneca Valley Pony Club; and less than an hour from Surefire Farm and Waredaca. Our farm also connects with great trails along the Monocacy River and lots of land to condition and hack on. You won’t find a better location for eventing in America!

Destination Farm offers private half-hour and hour lessons, training rides, group lessons, cross-country schooling, and coaching at events and shows for boarders and ship-in students. We also take horses in for full training. We can help you get your horse started correctly or help to move its training along faster. We are also, at times, available to come to your farm to teach lessons or give clinics. Ship in lessons are welcomed and we have a very select group of Destination Farm horses available for lessons and partial leases based on skill level. Our assistant Cierra Miller is also available for beginner lessons on a limited basis.

Working Student Program

There is no better way to improve your skills as both a horseman and a rider than to be a working student. The working student program offers instruction from both trainers, experience riding many different horses and learning the day-to-day management activities of a top eventing barn.
Working student applicants should be competent riders and have some experience with caring for horses, although there is no minimum competition level requirement. Working students are encouraged to bring their own horse as you will have more competition opportunities that way. We generally require a minimum commitment of 6 months, although there are occasionally shorter term and summer positions available. Applicants should plan to come spend a few days at the farm for an interview. Contact us directly if you wish to apply.
